The Madness – It was not only about “Studies”

I was Average, I was Stupid, I was Idiot and I was Mad.

Finally I was Happy... J

OMG.. I am struggling with the content of my blog, writing, deleting & rewriting every now & then, thinking about the title of this post from so many days. Am I looking for perfection or I am confused? Am I becoming possessive about my blog or my mind stop giving me right content? I don’t know what it is but now I am enjoying each & every post of my blog. It’s something which I have never thought I would be into. It was never been my area nor mine interest. It was never been my idea nor my capabilities, this idea given by someone to whom I admire a lot & I don’t think anyone can better motivate me for this other than the person I respect a lot. Now whatever I am writing well or worst, exciting or boring, I am living each & every post; it’s now part of my life. “Today I am completing 1 year of my blog, & still finding out the ways to improve my writing.

Before I start, let me first ask you one basic question “What is Education meant for you – Career or Learning?

The student life overloaded with full of “Expectations” to bring good marks in the examinations. The examination is made to measure how much you have learnt from your studies & the results from this examination decides your future & your career..!!!!!!

If we remove the examination from our education it’s a simple learning. But to cross check what has been taught & what has been learnt by a student it is very necessary to conduct examination.

It’s good to check the learning & development of the student by conducting the proper exam but I don’t agree if you say that the examination results only talks about the future & career.

Expectations not stop in good marks; it’s then converted in to the ranks 1st, 2nd or 3rd.  The more pressure starts building to the little brain. The little brain starts searching for shortcuts. Then the study patterns which makes the difference.

“Let them enjoy the learning rather making it a burden for them.”

Education is a journey that starts from your birth & never ends till your death. There is two type of education one is the “Formal Education” & another one is the “Informal Education”. Here I am trying to refer what you got inside the school & collages and what you got out side school & collages. The only difference between two is that the first one come up with official certification to certify you as educated & another don’t have the physical proof but reflecting on your various activities.

Formal Education” has a proper structure. The basic is the schooling from the class KG-I to Higher Secondary & then in college from Graduation to Post Graduation. The piece of paper called Mark Sheets/Degree Certificate which has the real value in the market projects you as educated.

Informal Education” in other hand has no proper structure. It’s come to us in form of various life events. You can call it the experience of life. When in childhood you start speaking, walking, puzzled yourself with lots of toys, understand the relationships, and build emotions inside you, expressing your feeling, making friends, build loyalty in the friendship, understanding what is good & what is bad, understanding the religion & culture, it’s all part of informal education which starts far before than your formal education starts. Later how you build your Creativity, Objective, Interest, Ethics, Attitude, Aptitude & Logical Reasoning is a part of informal education, this cannot be taught in your text books.

Let’s now talk about the life & life events. Each life events required a proper planning in advance apart from you birth & the childhood. The very 1st decision you have to take is about your profession, your career to ensure regular income during the age of 25 to 49. If you have start earning say about in the age of 23 to 25 then by which age you should start thinking about your career?

Till the 13 years of age, I don’t think it’s the right time to start thinking about your career. We don’t mature enough by that time to think what will be the right profession for us. I think the real time starts only after the age of 13 because by that time we could at least start knowing about our interest & capabilities.

Now come back to the education. It’s not that our Formal Education is incomplete. It has everything but are we really justifying it? The best part of formal education is that we are at least bound to learn the basics.

To live the simple life we should know at least one language which we can read & write. We should know the numbers & at least some mathematical calculations like Addition, Subtraction, Multiplications, Division, Average and Percentage. We should be then aware of our culture, our history, our nation, our geography, our civilization, our right, our constitution & as we are using lots & lots of technologies from a bulb to the personal computer, so we should also aware of basic level of science. For this era of globalization we should also know one language which is internationally accepted & currently it is English. That is what it has been taught to us from a very basic level in our schools.

I have no doubt that the structure of our “Formal Education” is one of the best to learning & development of a premature brain. It’s neither the toughest nor be the difficult if we start enjoying it. It’s becoming tough & difficult for the little brains when the same has been forced to them, pressurized them to perform in terms of exams results.

Study is a practice of what you have learnt. Practice makes us perfect & exam force us to study hard. That is good. But the pressure to pass with good marks results in “Misuse of Brain Memory”. Students on pressure start memorizing the things rather than understanding it properly.

Does it really good to expect from little brains in the age of 3 to 13? Sorry dear this is not the age of expectations. We are killing their creativity. It’s a learning period. Let them learn. Learn from free mind. Let them explore the world without any compulsion. This is not the age to expecting good performance in the examination.

The bare minimum expectations which we should expect from the little brain to be at least not perform below Average level. If the little brain performing below averages in the examination then its required attention otherwise any results average or above average should be satisfactory. If the little brain is performing above average without any pressure then he or she is genius, that good.

Every human being has the capabilities to build the “Sense of Completion” by their own. Do not force them the competition let them enjoy building Sense of Competition by their own.

As I have already mentioned “Expecting” extraordinary performance in the examination from the little brains till the age of 13 is the killer of the “Internal Creativity”. Expecting balanced growth of little brains, satisfying with the average results in the examination facilitate “Freedom to Little Brain” & allow them to explore the world apart from the “Formal Education”.

I remember one of my childhood best friends Kishor Choudhary who has the excellent creative brain, one day with the our National Flag, one Bamboo, one Rope & with few ancillaries item organized to manage by himself to “Unfurling the National Flag” in front of his house when he was hardly 11 year old. Who has given him this Idea, No One? It was his creativity. What a “Creativity” my friend, “Hats off to you Kishor”. Later I copied his Idea & implement it as well. That is something can be done only by a brain that has not been forced or pressurized to perform.

Being an “Average Performer” in my School Days, I have enjoyed the “Freedom of my Little Brain” till the age of 13. My parents never expected any extraordinary performance from me. They just wanted to complete my basic education. They did interfere only whenever my performance went below Average. Their only expectations from me were to produce at least Average results & that was never been a difficult task for any little brain if you enjoy education as learning.

The major areas in which my father has worked for me is my mathematics, general knowledge & awareness, development of my aptitude & logical reasoning skills till the age of 13. He was quite happy with my performance outside my formal education & just expected to clear the examination at least with average marks.

I have enjoyed being Average in my studies throughout my student life. The only expectations have been building after the age of 13 which was obvious indeed as by that time we become capable enough to face the challenges of this professional world.

As there were no such big expectations from me & no such pressure to perform extra ordinary made me remain satisfied with “Average Results” in my studies. That has given me free mind to think apart from my studies. This has given me the good chance to explore the things outside my studies.

I was Average & I was Happy to be Average J

I have attempted my 1st board examination when I was in 8th standard. My parents as usual praying for me that at least I should clear the exam... J I remember those days we could not afford to make any extra expenditure not even the daily news paper. I was really very possessive about “News Papers” those days. During my final exam, when I should study hard, Each day I was just waiting for my father to go out for the shop in the morning & then secretly I used to get out from home & go to the nearest “Tea Shop/Pan Shop” to read the news paper in the morning & then start my studies. That was my stupidity & I got 52% in my exam.

I was Stupid & I was Happy to be Stupid J

We had completed our Middle School & were entering in to the High School. In the farewell ceremony for us organized by our juniors, they have awarded one title to each & every seniors. The title given to me was “Subah-Subah Jab Murga Bola, Rupesh Ne Apna Muh Khola” lolzzzzzzz.. There is no doubt in my mind that this title has been suggested by my teachers & the obvious reason was that I was irritating them for each & every simple & silly doubts every now & then.  It was an “Idiotic Behaviour” when others understand easily, what an idiot I am, couldn’t understand the simple things as well. I didn’t know about others but I didn’t ever care about my reputation in the class even though for a simple thing which I couldn’t understand. I did never hesitate to ask even “Idiotic & Silly” questions in the middle of the class.

I was Idiot & I was Happy to be Idiot J

I have never touched the 75% marks throughout my studies from KGI to MBA. But I never gone below 60% from 9th onward.... J... Ohhh sorry I am really very sorry there was one year when I gone below 60% & that was B.Sc. 2nd year. Any ways I was aware that it was the aggregate percentage from 3 years of B.Sc., which will be counted. In the 1st year I had some 61.XX% & in 2nd year I had some   59.XX%, so the aggregate percentage was still above 60%.  In the B.Sc. Final Year, it was then my necessity to maintain the 60% level. Even my silly mistakes can through me out from the 60% group. My parents were little upset, & there was a reason for that my other activities apart from my studies.

Mathematics was my favourite subject throughout my studies & most of my favourite teachers were from mathematics & Kapoor Madam was among them. She lived in Seoni our district place 25 K.M. away from Barghat. We used to travel daily from Barghat to Seoni daily for our graduation.  She was my Mathematics teacher in my B.Sc. She is my role model, guide & true guru (Light) & always cares for me. She is my best teacher in my life & I was among her favourite students.

During my B.Sc. final year one day our land line phone ringed up, I think mummy has picked up the phone & “The Caller was Kapoor Madam”. She never used to call to parents of her students. But she called to my parents.

She said that “I am little worried about Rupesh’s interest on studies now a days, He is doing many other things outside his Studies, how he will manage to get good marks in Final Year which is crucial for his career indeed.”

And that one call was an atom bomb in my home. Everyone was upset. My mummy started crying.. L My father was also upset.. L My parents asked me to stop all other activities other than studies. I was defending myself like anything. That was the last day when my father slapped me because of my stubborn attitude for “My Madness”... J J J J

And the reason behind “The Madness” was “The Friends Club, Barghat”. We the group of school friends including some 5 to 10 friends all aged from 17 to 20 come together & formed a Club to do some “Extra Curriculum Activities”  apart from our studies. We wanted to organize some social events etc. and unexpectedly we did lots of things in 2 years.

Mr. Sidhhu, Barghat TI (Town Inspector) of that time heard about us from Mr. Raj Bahadur Singh Thakur (Senior Journalist, Barghat) & one day called us to meet.

“I remember in my childhood I used to start walking & stop running whenever I was passing from Police Station. My fear was that if any police man observed me running he might think I am a criminal... lolzzzzzzz”

Finally we met him, he asked us to organize one open competition to create awareness about the “History of Our National Flag”. That was a government initiative & the campaigned was named as “Jhanda Uncha Rahe Hamara”. We successfully organized the whole competition from preparing the question paper to distributing in to the schools, struggling with the shortage of question papers, struggling for reprinting of another few hundred question paper with the shortage of time, collecting the question papers from all the schools, checking of question paper announcing the results & distributing the awards on 26th January during the annual function organized by Nagar Panchayat Barghat.

In one of our initiative we have distributed few hundred pamphlets to raise the concern of poor road conditions of Seoni-Barghat road to that time Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Digvijay Singh, who was in fact first time visiting to Barghat after his 10 years of tenure as CM. The title of the pamphlets was à

Kuch Dino Se Gambhir Roop Se Ghayal Seoni-Barghat Sadak
Koma Me Gayi....
Jo Bhi Rajneta iske liye Doctor Dhundhega
Use Vote Roopi Inaam se Nawaza Jayega
Kyonki Sadak Nahi to Vikas Nahi – Aapki Aam Janta

In one of our casual meetings we discussed how we have been impacted just due to lack of knowledge about the future career options after our higher secondary (12th) & we just thought à

“Why not we can do some R & D?”
“Why not we can gather information about future career options after 12th?”
“Why not we should collect all the information & publish something which can guide our 12th students from Barghat to think about the multiple options?”

Initially we have planned to publish News Paper Size edition with 4 pages due to the financial conditions of the club. We have started working on the concept. Gradually we started getting advertisements from local educations institutions from Seoni & Barghat, later we approached to some educational institution from our nearest district place. “The concept later results into a 32 pages magazine” & we have named it as “Disha..... Career ki or...” We have published some 1000 copies of that magazine & distributed to the 12th students, one of the greatest achievements of Friends Club Barghat.

Finally the biggest social event & probable was the last one we have organized, & that is for utilizing the “Power of Democracy”. The event has been named “Janta Ki Adalat”. It was in year 2003 assembly election of Madhya Pradesh, in which all the members of Friends Club Barghat was voting 1st time in life after being eligible for that.

The whole idea came up with the questions

Why we should listen to our candidates what they only want to communicate?
Why we cannot ask those questions publically before we choose them?

We have planned an event where we called all the candidates in one place & then ask the question to them in front of public & presence of all other candidates. We have planned to do the video recording of whole event & then telecast it through local cable operator.

The concept was really very “Over Ambitious”. Nobody was ready to believe that it is possible to bring all the candidates into one place during their busy campaigning schedule.

But as I told you “The Madness”, we met each & every candidates individually & convince them to come to our event. All said yes to us.

Before the show we went to various places of assembly area, recorded their views for the future MLA & government. We went to all the candidates, record their interviews & before the event telecast it on local cable. In the event day somebody told us that no candidates are coming to our show.. L L We woke up early in the morning of event day. Go to each & every candidate, somewhere sleeping, some were preparing for day & they all said we are coming tonight to your show.... J J J

Out of 7 candidates 5 candidates came to our event all from big parties BJP, Congress, SP, BSP, Shivsena. 2 candidates those who have not come were in the last 2 position in the election... J J J J

Janta Ki Adalat” itself a big journey & a separate story with all up & downs, the pressure for making the event successful & the pressure of consistent in the studies from parents... J J J J All has been recorded & stored in a collection of 5 Video CDs.

Guru Kushwaha, Naveen Awadhiya, Kishor Chaudhary, Md. Shamshuddin Qureshi, Neeraj Awadhiya, Sanjay Yadav, Alok Jain, our guide Mr. Raj Bahadur Singh Thakur, Mr. Sunil Agrawal & others who have helped us directly or indirectly, they all made this club a really very unique in nature. We did all the things seems impossible to others. We were dedicated, we were committed & we had the passion. We enjoyed each & every moment we spent together for our “Friends Club, Barghat”.

It was one of the greatest moments I have lived with “The Friends Club, Barghat”, I learn lots of things. We have explored many things. It was my Madness.

I was Mad & I was Happy to be Mad J

It was about try to do something different. It was about to exploring the internal creativity. It was about to knowing our social responsibility. It was about the caring. It was about the team work. It was about to organizing & managing. It was about the facing the up & downs. It was about to being strong from mind. It was about to become introduce yourself to world. It was about to making your own path. It was about the Individuality.

It was about
“The Madness”
&
“It was not only about “Studies””

Thanks a lot for reading... Take care & all the best...Hope you all not bored while reading that J

Jealousy - The Criminal inside Every Human Being

Bura Jo Dekhan Main Chala, Bura Naa Milya Koye
Jo Munn Khoja Apnaa, To Mujhse Bura Naa Koye

This time I have chosen one of the most controversial topics for myself. From last few months I was thinking to write on this topic, in fact I did write on it in September 2011 but I had to scrape it because at the end I was remain confused about my actual views on Jealousy. This time I have done my full analysis & writing about the same. Finally I found above mentioned Doha from the “Great Sant Kabir” suitable to start the post.

Let’s start with “The Criminal Inside”. Yes we may have criminal inside us in various forms, “Jealousy” is one of its form. Other can be “Our Thought”, “Our Mentality”, “Our Act”, “Our Views”, “Our Greediness”, “Our Selfishness”, “Our Ego” and “Our Arrogant” etc.

Few people have the capability to identify these criminals before it comes outside & kill them inside only, but few can’t. Few don’t find anything wrong & few know the Dirty Picture behind it.

I remembered one day in a Lunch table, I had a very good discussion with my colleague on the topic how we can deal with the “Criminal inside Us”.

She was in the opinion that whatever we are doing or thinking, we should be true to ourselves & we should be able to face ourselves in front of Mirror”.

I was quite impressed with the thought. Think about the situation when you are in front of mirror, find yourself guilty & can’t make an eye contact with your own image. This fear will help you to kill the criminal inside before you act. Not a bad idea indeed. Respect the thought.

But in another hand I was not satisfied with the idea fully, as if you are able to find out by yourself what is wrong & what is right in each & every situation then you are the god. Because for each situation there can be different opinion of individuals. Something which is wrong for you may be right for other group of people & something you think right might be not appreciated by group another people & we will be arrogant if we will say that we know everything what is wrong & what is right for us. Some time we can be selfish while thinking about good or bad & in that case you will be able to stand in front of mirror even though you must have wrong.

But there is no solution of “Selfishness”. When decisions made selfishly then there is no question of feel guilty while facing your own image in front of mirror.

I have my own way of dealing with “The Criminal Inside”. According to me it’s difficult for an individual to decide whether something is right or wrong in all situations. In some situations he or she may be wrong. I am following the concept of “Invisible Power” around us called “God”. That invisible power is looking after us for all our activities & if we do something unethical then he has the punishment for us by any ways. For me this fear is sufficient to stop me from any wrongdoing. Believe me I don’t have the capacity to tell lie. In situations where I have to say lie either I will be keep quit or avoid making any comment then to say lie because I fear to God, I have to give answer to him. My thought seems spiritual but this concept of “Invisible Power” always helps me to stop from any unethical work.

According to me if an individual is mature enough to decide what is wrong & right in all the situations then he or she is nothing but a “God”.

Jealousy” one of the form of Criminal Inside us according to me no human being can be unaffected by this.

I had a multiple mind set for “Jealousy”. Previously I wanted to project its positive side but after my further analysis, if we have to generalize “Jealousy” then it can’t be good in any ways.

Jealousy is something when you hurt yourself on other’s success”.

The most favourable factors which influences Jealousy is I, Me & Myself à

1.      “I” for “Ego” à Ego the better word to differentiate the meaning of words “I” & “We”. My friend Vidhan told me that generally people failed to differentiate the “Self Respect” & “Ego”. When it comes to your “Self Respect” then it’s all together a different situations & there is no question of “I”. But when it comes to “Ego” then in that case there must be “I” working behind us. Satisfying “Self Respect” may not be wrong but satisfying “Ego” is always unethical. Showing your limitation by the mean of hurting your “Ego” while others is celebrating means you have invited “Jealousy”.

In that case you will say “How can He or She make it possible?

2.      “Me” for “Selfishness” à Selfishness is another factor which influences “Jealousy”. When you stop others to become successful even though you may not be affected from that success. Any act done selfishly to hurt other's success is also the symptoms of “Jealousy”.

In that case you will say “Only Me, No One Else”.

3.      “Myself” for “Arrogance” à When you have achieved something & now someone else is also seems to achieve the same without hurting your achievement. Still your “Arrogance” hurting yourself for others achievement showing the biggest criminal inside you as “Jealousy”. This is the worst factor to influence “Jealousy”.

In that case you will say “No one other than me can do it”.

But is that the only factors responsible for a person to being Jealous?

I don’t think so...!!!!

People don’t responsible for their Jealousy always. It’s not your Ego, Selfishness or Arrogance always produces Jealousy.

As per my experience, person without any Ego, Selfishness & Arrogance can also caught by Jealousy.... L

It’s very difficult for a human being to avoid certain situations where unwillingly you have to be Jealous & the situations can be à

1.      You have been Insulted à When successful people making fun of yours when you are unsuccessful. Even though you are happy for them.
2.      You have been Compared à When people starting comparing your failure with others success. Even though you have not thought for the same.
3.      You have been Ignored à When people start ignoring you for others & the reason for that is not your behaviour.
4.      You feel yourself Alone à Some time in your bad time you find yourself alone when other busy in enjoying their success.
5.      You find yourself Helpless à In the race of life you find others going fast & find yourself helpless as you don’t have resources like others.
6.      Your Success became Unsung à When your success have been dominated by others success. You feel good for others success but still your success became unsung.

There are lots of situations we faced when we unintentionally caught by “Criminal inside us” called “Jealousy”. Certain situations can’t be avoidable by any mean. We found ourselves guilty for being Jealous from others.

But in any ways Jealousy is Jealousy & should not be tolerated. And the real humanity has been tested when you became successful to kill this Jealousy before it start showing its negative impact outside the world.

Jealousy if misused can damage everything & if used as motivational factor without hurting others to influence self for work harder to do better than before then you can achieve milestones of great success like anything.

Jealousy in one side can influence “Healthy Competition” which makes both the affected parties successful in faster speed but in other hand Jealousy can influence “Destructive Competition” which can destroy everything in just one go.

Chalti chakki dekh kar, diya kabira roye
Do paatan ke bich mein, sabut bacha na koye

Jealousy – The Criminal inside Every Human Being” when started reflecting in your attitude then it may results in following 2 type of attitude à

1.       Jealousy with Negative Attitude: This is the situation when we became negative after being jealous. Negative in sense, we actually can’t digest someone’s success. “We wanted that person to go down”.  Such attitude should be avoided. This attitude reflects in our behaviour. Nobody can appreciate this & we may damage our image with this attitude. It is obvious that we can’t get success with this attitude but this is not good in the ground of humanity as well. People with negative attitude from jealousy always try to pull down the opponent rather try to step up by doing something productive. Anything which is to done for damaging someone’s success with wrong way can’t be right & this attitude due to jealousy can’t be accepted in any case.

If you have developed negative attitude for someone because of jealousy then it’s never been good for you but if someone else has developed negative attitude towards you due to jealousy then that means you are growing & you can use it as tonic to boost up your success  by always giving positive responses to such people with results  & this can be a great “Motivation” for us to go up.

2.       Jealousy with Positive Attitude: Now the positive attitude from jealousy. Jealousy is so negative then how we can derive a positive attitude from this. I think we can. One thing we must understand is that you can never utilise someone else success. What will only help us is the success achieved by our own.  If you feel jealous with someone with his or her success then positive attitude can “Motivate” you to speed up yourself to catch his or her level of success or may be go beyond that. But we should also take care that by speeding up our self, we should not damage success of our opponent for our success, means we should avoid leg pulling. This is called positive attitude from jealousy. Without harming any one you have been motivated to work hard to get success due to jealousy, not a bad move indeed as per me.

According to me jealousy results in positive attitude always good for both the concerning parties. Like if you jealous with someone & you take it positively. Trying to catch or go beyond him or her, it is obvious that your opponent will also try to increase his or her speed & because of that both will get certain level of success before actual time for sure without hurting anyone.”

When you say following to yourself after being jealous with someone, “If one man can do another can do” or “If you can do then why can’t I” or “I will show the world that I can also do that” etc showing your positive attitude because that will never damage other’s success. But it became negative when you says “No one can be better than me” or “Let me see how you can better than me” or “How you can do that if I can’t” etc.

In certain cases you may harm the opponent’s success with either of the attitude you developed, negative or positive due to jealousy. In these kinds of cases it is better that we should be “Neutral in your Act & thought”. In that case you become Jealous  with someone success but in other side you found yourself satisfied by saying you were not right person for this success or you don’t deserve it. You don’t want to hurt others & less interested to act on it.

My Last Words for Jealousy à

Kabira Khada Bazaar Mein, Mange Sabki Khair
Na Kahu Se Dosti, Na Kahu Se Bair

Jealousy is cancer which should be destroyed in its initial stage but “Jealousy is a Criminal inside Every Human Being” & some time it’s unavoidable. As a good human being we should always search for a better exit from this. Either by killing it with self meditation or use it as Motivational factor by creating better atmosphere for all to grow with healthy competition.

I have faced Jealousy inside me various times in my life, some time due to the imbalance of our society based on poverty & richness, some time I felt Ignored due to lack of social image in terms of sophisticated rich life style, some time due to our poor condition has been insulted by egoistic rich people, sometime when I found my helplessness when double standard people enjoying better social life.

I would like to say thanks to those who involved in all above either directly or indirectly to make me tough, make me strong, motivate me to achieve something which we couldn’t even dream for  & give me power create positive attitude in myself.

There were few incidents when my Ego, Selfishness & Arrogance became the reason of my Jealousy. I always found myself guilty whenever I think for those incidents.

I would like to say thanks to God for punishing me whenever my Ego, Selfishness & Arrogance dominant The Humanity & Ethics. Thank you god for showing my limitations while Criminal inside me at its worst & pull me down whenever required.

And finally the end of my philosophical & spiritual thought related to Jealousy with the one greater Doha from “Sant Kabirà

Jab Tun Aaya Jagat Mein, Log Hanse Tu Roye
Aise Karni Na Kari, Pache Hanse Sab Koye

Aatma Vishwas - The Self Belief

Humi se toh ummeedein hain..... Humi se toh dilasa hai....
Humi pe hain nigaahe bhi.... Humi pe to Bharosa hai...
Dil se kaho... Hey... Hai Hum Mein Hai Hero....
Milke kaho... Hey... Hai Hum Mein Hai Hero....
Hum mein hai hero... Hum mein hai hero...

These are the lines from my favourite advertisement now a day from Hero Motor Corp composed by AR Rehman, really inspiring & suits the title of this post “Aatma Vishwas – The Self Belief”.

Hey

Do you think you are a “Creative” person?
Are you always being with lots of “Innovative Ideas”?

And

Are you always “Dreaming” for your ideas to be implemented?
Are you not getting “Right Platform” to show your talent?
Are you not getting “Chance” like others?
Do you always have the “Complaint” of not getting heard?
Do you always face “Criticism” by people for all your ideas, which still to be implemented?
Do you think “One Day” you will answer to all those who criticising you by implementing your ideas?

Then

Why that “One Day” can be “Today”?
Why can’t we have “Critics” for our “Implemented Ideas” rather than for unimplemented one?
Why we so “Complaining” for not to be heard, when we can easily “Be Loud & Clear” with our work?
Why we don’t think that only lucky person gets “Chance” not the successful person with “Passion & Hard Work”?
Why can’t we create our own “Platform” than to “Depends” on others to provide “Right Platform”?
Why we only “Dreaming” when we know it require “Courage & Sleepless Nights”?

More Importantly

Do we have the “Aatma Vishwas – The Self Belief”?

I Think

We have to first convince ourselves than to others. First we required is nothing but “The Self Belief”. Behind every successful story, there is a success element called “Self Belief”. No creativity can be made successful if we don’t have Self Belief. There is no “Right Time & Place” to prove our self than “Now & Here”.

According to me every individual have a “Creative Person” inside them. Everyone has their own style of thinking & working. All of us utilise our creativity for our various daily activities. We all must have at least one incident with us, when we would have convinced to our parent, teacher or boss by any ways for something where it is impossible to do so & can count as our creativity. We must be doing creative work every now & then but might not be noticing it. But these all will be general in nature & not required much effort to implement.

Real examination come in to picture when we have to implement our creative ideas & all the situations are against us or we don’t have sufficient resources to implement the same or we have more critics than supporters. In that case the only thing which works & helps us to at least start is “The Self Belief”.

It is difficult to think to prove our creativity for those who belong to poor families or coming from rural India with no base, almost no resources & less support from the people as they have less hope for any improvement & situations are always against you. But if we have enough motivation inside us then no situation can stop us to prove our self.

Dil dheere dhadke hai aaj... Hone ko hai aaghaaz
Safar pe Chalne ka badhne ka... Itna hai Hausla
Mitna faasla... Manzil ne mil hi jaana hai
Ooo.. Khwabon se aage jaana hai

I think we should start looking as “Opportunity” to each & every “Odd Situations” & can be utilized as “Motivation” for step up & increase our “Self Belief”.

If we really want to make our creativity successful, if we really have passion & courage to make it successful then don’t bother about the others, don’t bother about the odd situations, just believe on our self & don’t keep quit. Don’t wait for others to provide Right Platform or depends upon the situation for any chance. Don’t complain about any situation & ignore critics who demoralize us. Lets step up with full of Self Belief. If you have true passion & courage then situations will defiantly start working in favour but all we required is to at least have start with “Aatma Vishwas – The Self Belief”.

Please remember for any successful creative idea it is important that we should have our concept & objective clear.  While execution you may found some difficulties or you may got some excellent ideas from other. We have to be flexible to adopt others ideas while execution, which should not damaging our main objective or any reverse effect on our main concept.

I would like to share one of my Ideas which I have implemented with all the odd situations.

As I have already mentioned about my “Sewing Machine” business in my previous posts. 11 years back we hardly use to sell 30 machines per annum & at a time we were having stock of 2 to 3 sewing machines.  We wanted us to expand this business & with some difficulties somehow we have increased our stock till 12 machines. But our image in the market was the same with stock of 2 to 3 machines. I wanted people to visit our shop so that they understand that we have increased out stock with various options available at a time.

One day I visited to 1 village where I just stop in front of one Tailoring Shop, where in that shop at least 5 workers was working for daily wages. That time something clicked in my mind. All those 5 workers working for daily wages why can’t they work for them self rather working for other?

Ohh.... they don’t have enough money to buy 1 sewing machine for them so that they can start working for them self.

Opportunity... J J J J

Why should not I provide them 1 sewing machine & thy will easily earn Rs. 50 to Rs. 100  daily & can give me Rs. 20/- per day to own that sewing machine in 4 months?????????

So I came up with the Slogan à

Sewing Machine @ Rs. 1/-
(For the limited period offer during festival time from Navratra to Diwali when people use to purchase)

But we could somehow manages to maintain the stock of 12 sewing machines & if I will start distributing the machines in down payment of Rs. 1/- how we will maintain our stock, as all our working capital will be going to block in that credit scheme.

Should I go for it? Yes why not.

I was fully confident on my idea. But we were not ready to afford such big working capital crises & the question was how we will supply huge demand which was estimated as at least 50 sewing machines in one month.

I went to my papa asking Rs. 5000/- for promotion. Rs. 5000/- lolzzzzzz, forgot about it whether we would be able to implement it, that was his first question to his 17 year old son. And this type of ideas until implemented successfully after all odd situations couldn’t be accepted & seems to be “Day Dreaming”.

But I was confident & more importantly I have the Self Belief. Now my first objective was to convince my parents. I took 1 big blank white paper & made 1 advertisement with help of blue pen. My papa was impressed but allowed me to go ahead against the wish of my mummy & for the last attempt to stop me he told me “I will not help you for this during whole implementation other than providing you Rs. 5000/- for advertisement”. He thought I will be withdraw myself as I have to travel every day to Seoni for my studies during my B.Sc. (It is 25 KM from Barghat).

With the extreme level of Self Belief, I didn’t step down; I have started implementing my idea. I went to my friend Guru Kushwaha & shown him my advertisement. He, who liked it very much & found very interested started helping me for the same.

We have started working on printing our pamphlet for advertisement, ordered for making few banners etc. Advertisement itself was very attractive as it was saying “Sewing Machine in Rs. 1/-“.

Guru & Me went to street of Baghat & installed our banners in the crowded areas. We have pasted all the pamphlets in various places of Barghat & nearest villages. I remember we used gum made from Wheat Powder boiled in the water. It is really an excellent formula for pasting the pamphlets. Lots of places we got attention of people. People start asking about the concept & appreciating the same & we were getting motivation from them.

Later in mid of the campaign my papa started helping us & he suggest various processes so that the same could be implemented effectively.

And as expected due to the attractive Rs. 1/- campaign people started visiting our shop. Footfall has been increased drastically. During 1 month of Scheme Period we sold approx 45 machines but more importantly more than 1000 people from various villages has been visited to our shop & our shop came in to limelight.

Out of 45 customers, “5 became defaulter” & we have to recover machine from them. But if you calculate Rs. 20/- Per Day for remaining 40 Machines it became Rs. 800/- Per Day & indirectly we were selling 1 Machine in every 3 days in full cash for next 4 months, so working capital issue also resolved by that.

This is one of my life time events which made me what I am today for various reason. One of the biggest reasons is that it helped me to build my confident. Help me to start believing on myself. More importantly give me the power to fight with all the odd situations which can kill my creativity any time. This event taught me how we can take calculative risk to utilize the opportunities.

When after completing my graduation in B.Sc (Computer Science), I had two options with me, whether to do Masters in Computer Applications (MCA) or go for Masters in Business Administrations (MBA), I went for MBA & while deciding this I didn’t take much time just because of the above sewing machine project I have implemented & I thought doing MBA will be justice for me for my future.

This project also helped me to get my first job in Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). I remembered when TCS came to our collage after aptitude test those who have cleared should have gone through with 2 round of interviews. After 2 interviews, 7 candidates have been offered a job & I was not in that list of 7. Out of rejected candidate 5 has been called again for 3rd interview. In that 3rd interview I have been asked to described creativity then rather to give theoretical answer of creativity I just told them about my Sewing Machine Project. They asked me where the Creativity is. & I answered à

“Sir Many people asked me to at least take Rs. 500/- or Rs. 1000/- as down payment but I said no to them "The Perception of Rs. 1/- that is my creativity...." J J J J

Out of those 5 candidates I was the only candidate who got selected & thanks to the Sewing Machine Project..... J J J J

So believe on yourself & don’t wait suitable time or situations to improve for you. Please dare to fight, don’t hesitate to start after all the odd situations.

Don’t wait for others to approve our Idea to implement.... We are only person who can approve what we want to implement...

Just what all we require is à

“Aatma Vishwas – The Self Belief”

Yes we can do it....

Thanks a lot for reading... Take care & all the best...Hope you all not bored while reading that J
